Pasig City, Formerly the Capital of Rizal Province





Pasig City, formerly the capital of Rizal Province is now one of the cities and municipalities of Metro Manila or the National Capital Region (NCR). It is primarily a residential and industrial city but is also slowly becoming a more popular commercial area. Here lies one of the oldest churches in the Philippines, the Immaculate Conception Cathedral. Here also lies on the eastern part of the city is the Ortigas Center, which is also occupying the west side part of the neighboring city of Mandaluyong. It is also one of the top business districts of Metro Manila. Some of the more well known establishments located in the city are the Philippine Stock Exchange, the headquarters of the San Miguel Corporation, and the head office of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines are among the few.
